Now that I've had time to cool off a bit and laugh about it, I can tell you about something my youngest snot-slinger did last week.
I had been inside doing something (folding laundry, cleaning the kitchen, rounding up plastic dinosaurs, I can't quite remember) while the boys were outside playing. I looked out my bedroom window to check on them and saw Ethan peeking his head out of the shop (I had closed all of the doors to ensure they didn't get into the signs I had out there drying... obviously that didn't work!). I told him to get out and close the door... and soon it was time to come inside for naps.
After getting both of them to sleep, I headed back out to the shop to get one of the signs to work on... What I found when I entered was two of my finished signs, one with WHITE lettering - covered almost completely in BLACK paint! I had to blink to make sure I was seeing clearly...
After a discussion with Ethan, I went to the sink to see if there was any way to salvage these beautiful signs, which I was going to ship the next day... And to my surprise and delight, I found that the finish coat I'd just painted them with let the black paint be scrubbed away to show no harm done to my beautiful signs! And their new owners may never know ... unless they read this! ;)
